Venipunction V. Cephalica
This model is designed to practice to punction the Vena cephalica in canines for drip purposes or drawing blood.
Description of the venipunction manikin
The foreleg is coated with synthetic fur from which a vein can be palpated. This artificial silicone vein can be punctured dozens of times. The vein is connected to a drip bag filled with artificial blood. The entire vein is then filled with this artificial blood. Venous blood pressure simulation is possible by hanging the container slightly above the phantom.
True-to-life
If the artificial vein has been hit properly, 'real' blood will flow into the syringe's chamber, making it a highly realistic learning moment.
